Palestine Book Prize 2015
MEMO (Middle East Monitor) has announced a shortlist of six books on Palestine competing for the Palestine Book Prize. They were chosen from 40 or so books on Palestine submitted for consideration, and all the shortlist are to be recommended
• Baddawi - Leila Abdelrazaq, published by Just World Books
• Chief Complaint - Hatim Kanaaneh, MD, published by Just World Books
• Gaza, A History - Jean-Pierre Filiu, published by Hurst Publishers
• Jerusalem Interrupted - Lena Jayyusi, published by Olive Branch Press
• The Drone Eats With Me - Atef Abu Saif, published by Comma Press
• The Palestinians - Elias Sanbar, published by Yale University Press
• Vanished - Ahmed Masoud, published by Rimal Publications
The final judging of the books will be awarded in the following categories: Academic, Memoir and Creative. The prizes will be awarded at the Book Award’s ceremony on November 19th 2015.
